Emotional Guidance Scale

The following information is (loosely translated) from the Abraham-Hicks book,
"Ask and It Is Given". Dr. Geri Krista highly recommends this book.

Your emotions are indicators of your vibrational frequency and your connection to Source.

Imagine a scale with gradations which indicates the fullness of your allowance of your connection with Source energy.  The lower end of the scale would show your most resistant disallowance of your connection with Source. Your energy scale might look like this:

  1. Joy/ Knowledge/ Empowerment/ Freedom/ Love/ Appreciation

  2. Passion

  3. Enthusiasm/ Eagerness/ Happiness

  4. Positive Expectation/ Belief

  5. Optimism

  6. Hopefulness

  7. Contentment

  8. Boredom

  9. Pessimism

  10. Frustration/ Irritation/ Impatience

  11. "Overwhelment"

  12. Disappointment

  13. Doubt

  14. Worry

  15. Blame

  16. Discouragement

  17. Anger

  18. Revenge

  19. Hatred/ Rage

  20. Jealousy

  21. Insecurity/ Guilt/ Unworthiness

  22. Fear/ Grief/ Depression/ Despair/ Powerlessness

Be aware of where you are (the range that you are in) on your Emotional Guidance Scale. The thing that matters most is not exactly where you are on this scale, but that you are consciously reaching for a feeling that is improved. Strive to gently lift yourself up the Emotional Guidance Scale.

When you are in a state of allowing, which means you have quieted your mind—or focused your mind in such a way that there is an absence, or a decreasing, of resistant thought—your Vibration naturally rises. Now, what that means is, you are coming closer and closer to Vibrational alignment with who-you-really-are, to the frequency of your Source, and to the frequency of your Inner Being—and under those Vibrational-alignment conditions, you must thrive. [from "Getting into the Vortex Meditation Users Guide" p. xiii]

Why is Allowing so Important?

According to Abraham-Hicks, the creative process consists of three simple steps:

  1. You ask. (for what you want to be, do, or have)

  2. It is given.

  3. The answer, which has been given, must be received or allowed (you have to let it in).
